Your True Worth

This is an 8–Session course for women who are ready to begin the process of discovering their true worth.

This workshop provides opportunity to consider how the way we see ourselves, both positively and negatively, impacts our sense of self-worth. It also helps participants learn to strengthen their sense of worth to enhance their emotional well-being in positive ways.
 
Over the 8 weeks participants will:

Explore how the development of their own sense of self-worth has been impacted and how internal messages received in the past can be addressed.

• Take a closer look at their own strengths, abilities and resources.
• Learn that true worth is not determined by how others may have valued (or devalued) them in the past.
• Be encouraged to consider how to appreciate their worth from a spiritual perspective.
• Gain understanding of grief and loss, and how it can impact us
• Explore the process of forgiveness
• Learn how to take responsibility for themselves, using the resources available both within and around them
• Positively affirm who they are and acknowledge their value

The course is led by trained and experienced facilitators to create a safe environment for women only.
Weekly morning tea provided.

This course runs in Term 1 and Term 3 for 8 weeks

Time: 9:30am - 12.15pm
​Venue: St Peters Church, cnr Cameron Rd & Spring St, Tauranga
Cost: $40 per person for the entire course* 
Equivalent to $5 per week to cover weekly morning tea and resources
* If the fee is unmanageable a subsidised rate may be available on request

When I first came to St. Peter’s house I was having a difficult time parenting my pre teen boy. It was taking a toll on my marriage. I became quite anxious and stressed.
By the end of the Your True Worth course I felt so much more secure in myself, and at peace with my past. I feel accepted and like I have purpose. I also made friends.

I had low self-esteem before the Your True Worth Course, but now I am feeling far more confident and able to stand firm on my values and beliefs.  I have also learnt how to switch negative thoughts to more positive ones, and to recognise negative thoughts when they first arise, and not act on them.

I loved the course and found it so helpful in being able to recognize that my worth isn't defined by other people and how they have abused me and treated me in the past.  I have made really good friends through the course which has been helpful in moving forward with new positive people around me. 
I feel that the course has given me an extra boost in self confidence which I really needed. These changes have helped me to continue to be the best mum that I can be for my daughter. ​
